Urban Sky, a Denver-based stratospheric platform company, has raised $30 million in its Series B funding round led by Altos Ventures, with participation from New Stack Ventures and other strategic investors.

Urban Sky is pioneering high-altitude balloon technology that offers persistent, cost-effective monitoring of vast areas for applications such as wildfire detection, environmental monitoring, disaster response, and military intelligence. The company’s signature product, the Microballoon™ (mHAB), is designed to provide long-duration, high-resolution data from the stratosphere, operating at altitudes above 60,000 feet for multiple days.
